Chess Belts® is our exciting motivational system that keeps students excited about chess. The color system, patterned after martial arts, teaches chess fundamentals while moving them forward towards attainable goals. Students are awarded wristbands after completing the requirements listed for each belt level. Forks, pins skewers, elementary checkmates, combinations, and opening surprises are covered as they work their way from white belt to black! Progress charts are sent home at the end of each session so that the parents know how much their child learned in Chess Scholars.
